Natural foods, organics, whole foods, cruelty-free meats and fish . . . with such a bewildering number of food categories out there, it’s hard to know what food is healthy to feed your family.
But that’s never a problem at the Co-op Café at the Whole Foods Co-op at 1341 West 26th Street.
At the Co-Op Café, upwards of 95% of our ingredients are organic. We use no ingredients that use artificial colorings or GMO components. Wherever feasible, we source our ingredients locally and in all cases, we make our food by hand, with love.
The Co-op Café offers a full menu of made-to-order sandwiches and wraps and four soups (well, three and a chili or stew, every day at our counter just inside the Co-op’s front door.
Our baker fashions a yummy array of cookies, cakes, muffins and raw delights, and she takes special orders.
If you don’t have time for a freshly prepared meal, our Grab /n/ go cold case is stocked with dips and spreads, meal solutions, wraps to go, packaged soups and desserts. You can select a healthy and delicious four-course meal to go anytime.
For families on the go, why not join our Co-op Kids Club. It’s free for all kids 12 and under. Each child will receive a child-sized cloth bag, a membership card and a special coupon in the mail for free birthday stuff. When your child accompanies you on a shopping trip, he or she will receive a free snack while you shop.
At the Co-op Café we see many people with food allergies of all sorts. Consequently, we are extremely sensitive to their concerns and so we offer every sandwich, wrap and pizza on our menu in a gluten-free option. Similarly, many of our baked goods are also available gluten-free, too.
The health of you and your family is our primary concern at the Co-op Café.
