Flowers…you can think of the planting of seeds, or the scent the flowers give as they start blooming. Not me though, when I think of flowers and it is the month of March, I think of Daffodils. Although my favorite flower is the Carnation, I get very excited to be able to participate in the sale and purchase of Daffodils that the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days provides each year.
Myself being a cancer survivor, every year I treat myself to a 10 bundle of daffodils and with that I get my soft and cuddly Boyds Bear! The cost is a little steep for today’s budget but after the smell of my flowers go away and I clean out my vase, I have one more way of remembering I have survived yet another “cancer free” year.
Contact the American Cancer Society if you would like to purchase the daffodils for yourself or to give as a gift. The dollars that are raised make a difference and your support to the American Cancer Society helps to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by helping people get well and stay well.
