After completing a 60-hour community service project for the Millcreek School District, Chris was asked to complete the following summary report.
Summary Report: Write one paragraph below on what you feel you accomplished in your 60 hours of community service.
I accomplished a lot in my 60 hours of community service, especially in terms of what I took away from the experience. I learned how to work with animals at Asbury Woods and how to work with people at The Erie Family Center. I found that I needed to show compassion and empathy for people who have fewer things than I do. I also found that it is fun to work with people and animals, helping them to be the best they can be. The experience taught me to be thankful for what I have. I also feel that I learned how to be nicer to people and to not be arrogant or ignorant of other people's feelings. My service also allowed me to practice some good moral values: empathy, compassion, care, love, and helping both people and animals alike.
